A rural village in Laos did not have access to water in their village. The water collection point was a 20-30 minute walk from the village. The project brought water from outside the village to a number of water stations which we constructed. Prior to this project being completed, girls were sent on a long walk, multiple times per day to collect water for everyday use. Because of our project we were able to empower the girls. so that they could then attend school. With water closer and more accessible, the girls were freed up to learn in the classroom.
Nigeria
Nigeria
We constructed an early learning centre in Nigeria. This centre was also used as a small medical clinic when the doctor came to the village. It was built in the village of Enwari, with the help of Daniel Igali (Olympic gold medal wrestler for Canada)
Fiji
Wavuwavu
This project was a covered walkway in the village of Wavuwavu Fiji. The school was set back from the road and when it was raining heavily, students would be completely wet by the time they got to their classroom after they left the bus. This was constructed to hurricane standards and has already withstood several major storms.
Belize
